A Note About Rising Prices

From raw ingredients, materials for bagging and other production materials, to freight and staffing, over the past year we have witnessed price escalations and shortages beyond anything we could have anticipated.

We have been absorbing these higher costs, hoping to see things stabilize, but have made the difficult decision to increase our prices effective immediately. Our only alternative was to lower our standards for ingredient quality, and that would run counter to everything we stand for.

Our solution to managing what has become a commodity-like pricing situation, with highly variable fluctuations occurring daily, is to set pricing based on the average costs experienced over the past 30 days. We will revisit pricing each 30 days and adjust if necessary. Our hope is that as the supply chain smooths out with new harvests and post-pandemic resolutions, this situation will pass.

Prices for our formulas are posted on our website. If you have a custom formula milled for you, we will provide you with new pricing at the time of your order, based on prices at that time.

We know that this situation is common to other mills as well, and that increases are unavoidable. But as family farmers ourselves, we are deeply aware of the impact a price increase has on farm operations. We are grateful to each of our customers for the opportunity to be doing this work, feeding your animals the wholesome, sustainable, quality feeds we know they thrive on.

Thank you,

Alice Royle, Owner
