Just Kidding Free Choice Goat Mineral

$45.50

Goats love loose salt-based minerals and will eat them happily. Our Just Kidding Free Choice Goat Mineral is a great way to get hoof support zinc, important copper, rumen-buffering sodium bicarb and selenium into them, especially when they are out on pasture. The goat’s instinctive drive for salt is a great way to get them to eat the amount you want! Our goats love this, but they don’t overeat it, either. Introduce it gradually if your animals have not had salt lately, or if they haven’t liked their old mineral mix.

Feeding Directions: Just Kidding Goat Mineral may be fed free choice. A covered feeder is recommended if fed free choice. Consumption will vary depending on the ration fed and individual and flock differences. Typical consumption is .25-.50 oz per head per day. If animals eat too much, provide supplemental salt separately. Fresh, clean water must be available at all times. If animals are mineral-deficient, it is a wise practice to limit mineral for the first week to the recommended amount, and to ensure adequate feeder space to minimize overconsumption by dominant animals.

Warning: Do not mix in feed to provide more than .3 ppm selenium in total ration.
