This is a nutrient-dense, easily digested concentrated ration balancer intended to be fed with good quality forage or pellets to provide no more than .3ppm selenium in the total diet. It provides vital vitamins and minerals through low glycemic but highly palatable ingredients. It should be fed in limited quantities according to the condition of your horse. Some horses need very little, but they all want a lot. Seniors may need .5% of their body weight in concentrate in addition to forage or soaked forage pellets if dental issues are a concern. (1000 lb horse = 5 lbs.) “Easy keepers” may need much less. Seek advice from your veterinarian. This feed contains selenium; do not feed additional sources of selenium. Provide plenty of fresh, clean water. Introduce new feeds gradually. Do not feed old, moldy, or insect-infested feeds.
